Technical requirements

There are some useful tasks we can perform to work with macros and share them. The most important one is to define at least one macro repository within Alteryx Designer.

This repository will allow you to easily access and organize your saved macros. If you need to share your macros with your team, a shared location can be used to update the last version of each tool for the whole team.

To create a macro repository, you can revisit the Getting ready section of the third recipe in Chapter 1, Different schema Excel worksheets all at once, where we created one from scratch.
