Prerequisites
Power Automate is a (mainly) online-hosted tool from Microsoft – so it’s not surprising that you’re going to need a Microsoft account. There are two main account types:
- You may already have a Microsoft account from the organization you work in or are affiliated with (if you’re a student). If you have access to Office.com or Outlook.com, and if you are able to sign in using something such as
yourname@companyname.com
, then you have a corporate Microsoft account. - You may have a personal Microsoft account (such as
yourname@live.com
oryourname@hotmail.com
) – or you might have signed up for the free online version of Office (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/free-office-online-for-the-web).
