In this chapter, you learned how to use a built-in Node.js server, and Cloud Functions for Firebase provided by Dialogflow to handle fulfillments through webhooks. In the Firebase Node.js server, a user intent request is intercepted and then a response object is created. You learned how to trigger an intent using an event in the code and also built a follow-up intent to create a conversation. Then, you built more advanced response objects using selectList, SSML, and audio. Finally, you learned about the data metrics collected by Dialogflow in the agent analytics section. In the next chapter, you will learn how to deploy the Node.js middle tier to the Microsoft Azure cloud, thereby taking full control of your infrastructure environment.
