Adjusting and adding hair
I felt the image we retouched of the lady in the previous section could use some work around areas of the hair. We will remove some of the strands of hair, but not too much, to keep a natural look. We don’t want the hair to look too perfect and evenly laid down. See Figure 8.12:

Now that we’ve observed the photo and considered what areas we might want to work on, let’s work on cleaning up the hair in the next section.
Cleaning up the hair
As stated, hair can be tricky when you have thin layers that may get mixed into complex backgrounds for making selections. In this example, we will not be removing her from the background, just cleaning up some of the messy hair.
I’ve found that Soft Round Brush, alongside the Clone tool, is sufficient to cover up loose, messy hair.
