Looking back at the topics and skills introduced in this chapter, it is important to remember that there are countless situations and circumstances that will vary as you create different models and interact with different 3D printing production techniques. But there are also common practices that can be used to increase the effectiveness of our designs, and in turn, increase the likelihood of success when 3D printing.
When possible, always look to reduce overhangs in your design by changing the part orientation, or by creating fillets and chamfers to support the overhangs during production. Fillets and chamfers may also increase the overall aesthetics of your part, along with the strength of the part after it has been printed as well.
