OM, Payments, Loyalty Management, and B2B

As we discussed in Chapter 3, Direct-to-Consumer Selling with Commerce Cloud B2C, Commerce Cloud is a lot more than just B2C Commerce. Creating a complete commerce solution requires additional components, including OM and Payments, which are also available from Salesforce. Features such as loyalty might be a value-added consideration and if your business also sells B2B, evaluating B2B Commerce is worthwhile.

Each of these is a separate product with its own licensing cost and each should be evaluated like any purchasing decision. In this section, we'll provide a very high-level overview of these products to illustrate why they may or may not be the right fit for your business.

Tip

B2C solutions will always be a mix of Salesforce and non-Salesforce products working together. The important thing is to make the right choice for your business.
