Updating a managed solution

When you import a later version of a managed solution in the Maker portal, the solution will be updated with no additional steps. If you click Switch to classic and import an updated solution file, you will see a message similar to the one shown in the following screenshot:

Clicking Next will bring up further choices, as shown in the following screenshot:

There are three actions you can choose from, as follows:

• Upgrade (recommended): Applies all changes in the solution file; any components not in the solution will be deleted. The result will be as if the previous solution had never been imported and the solution had been imported for the first time.
• Stage for Upgrade: Applies the changes in the solution file but does not apply any deletions. You can apply the upgrade later and the missing components will be deleted.
