Hyperledger Sawtooth
Sawtooth is an enterprise-grade distributed ledger that can run in both permissioned and non-permissioned modes. Sawtooth has several new features, which are introduced in the following sections.

Modular design
The modular design of Sawtooth enables separation between the application and the core system. This means that developers can focus on the business objectives instead of worrying about the underlying design of the system.
