The main DevOps technological ecosystem partners
We divide the main partners (organisms) of our DevOps 360° technological ecosystem into six main categories, with the Agile DevOps teams excluded, as we consider those to be consumers and not producers of technological utilities:
- DevOps platforms: Teams owning and offering utilities such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, test services, and so on
- Technological utility services: Teams offering utilities such as enterprise message buses, operational data storage, and tactical automation
- Core infrastructure teams: Responsible for mainframe platforms, network services, Linux and Windows platforms, middleware, and data centers
- Shared services: Include command and cyber security centers
- End user services: Workspace management, the IT help desk, and the virtual desktop belong in this category
