Summary

In this chapter, we investigated the processing of different types of images. We looked at different sources of noise that can corrupt images and degrade their quality. You learned how to apply different corrections to the images to fix these problems. We then looked at processing steps specifically aimed at Z-stacks and time series.

In the next chapter, we will see how to separate pixels into different groups and how to clean up and filter the result for further processing.
