Fine-tuning the decision process
When thinking about a biometric identifier, we know that it represents some human attribute. Because we are dealing with human attributes, there are times we must make some adjustments to the system so that the system returns an acceptable result.
In this section, we’ll see why there may be a need to upgrade the template on file because of significant changes to the client’s biometric identifier. We’ll also see how human intervention might be required during the matching process, as well as how we can tune the acceptance threshold. In addition, to always get the most accurate results, we’ll see why it’s important to prevent spoofing.
