Summary

This chapter explained the basic requirements for an efficient and effective application modernization project. This chapter also discussed different stages of application modernization. For example, we got familiar with functional and non-functional requirements for application modernization and understood the assessment and evaluation of requirements to design an efficient landing zone for the target state of application migration.

We will design an effective and resilient platform in the following chapters, including storage, networking, and other cloud platform components. The next chapter will discuss the modernization of storage solutions for cloud-native workloads.
