Implementing custom notification messages

In the previous recipes, we saw how we can send a normal notification. Let's add some controllers and also learn how to add some pictures to it so that we can prettify it a bit.

How to do it...

1. Now write the following code and add it to our earlier code over the messaging.setBackgroundMessageHandler() function. So, the end result will look something like this:
