Configuring and Reviewing Backup Reports

Earlier in the chapter, you learned how to configure backups using Azure Backup. Now, you are going to learn how to configure backup reports to forecast cloud storage and auditing for backup and restore operations.

In order to provide insights to backup admins about backup data that covers a long period of time, Azure Backup introduced a reporting solution for gaining insights into backup data. The solution includes Azure Monitor logs and workbooks to enhance the presented insight data.

Follow these steps to configure backup reports via Backup center in the Azure portal:

Navigate to the Azure portal by opening a web browser and going to https://portal.azure.com.
Navigate to the AZ104-BCDR resource group. Click + Create.
Search for and select Log Analytics Workspace.
Click Create on the screen that follows.
Configure the following settings on the Basics tab and click Review and create:
