Applying Modifications to the System

This is it! After a few iterations piloted by DemoEditor’s director, our information system has reached its version 1.0. The most important features have been tested and validated, so the company can start getting some functional value out of it. However, as change is the only constant, version 1.0 is not due to last long, and a few months later, there will be some new features to add to the system. This is when we are going to challenge our architecture to check that it is indeed capable of smooth evolution, without having to enter into complex technical projects to simply add a field or change a process. In short, this is what is going to judge the work we have done in every chapter that preceded this one.

This final chapter will show how different evolutions can be applied to the existing DemoEditor information system. It will start with changes that are simple, which does not mean they are small but, rather, that it is easy to know...
