Search Preferences
Preferences in Webtop allow users to store their preferred ways of interacting with the application, so that they can avoid specifying these choices repeatedly. Essentially, preferences help users to work efficiently. Search preferences are the preferences that affect search behavior for a user.
The search preferences allow users to specify the desired search behavior in the following ways:
1. Columns specify the set of properties that are displayed in the search result, as shown in the following screenshot:
2. Favorite repositories indicate the repositories a user accesses frequently. New repositories can be added to this list by providing information about new connection brokers. The newly added repositories stay in the Favorites list only for the duration of the current user session.
In order to keep these additional repositories permanently available even after the session expires, the connection brokers need to be added to the
dmcl.ini
file on the application server...
