Summary

This chapter focused extensively on extension resources. Extension resources help to configure virtual machines after they are deployed, and there are multiple types available. In this chapter, we investigated customscriptextension and DSC extension, which can both be executed against virtual machines. Extensions help to configure the inside of a virtual machine.

In the next chapter, we will look at unit testing ARM templates using Pester.
