Performance metrics

For APIs, as for any other product, you can measure the performance of the product from the most fundamental perspective to determine whether the product works the way it is expected to. Although it might seem like an abstract quality to measure, there are ways you can quantify the performance of APIs using the metrics shown in the following screenshot:

As you can see in the preceding screenshot, the performance of your APIs can be measured using four metrics, which we will discuss in the following subsections.
