Options for multi-language versions

There are different language versions of Visio available, but the usual need is to present the same process diagrams in multiple languages without maintaining multiple copies.

One solution is to have translations in Excel for each process and then regenerate each diagram in the required language version of Visio using Data Visualizer, but that will lose any manual customizations done to the diagrams.

Another solution is to host the diagrams in a SharePoint portal where the end user can select the language to view, as available at https://www.oneassist.de/.

Also, there is a desktop Visio add-in available at https://bvisual.net/products/multi-language-text-for-visio/ that provides the option to store multiple alternate language text for shapes, pages, and hyperlinks.
