Blocking Off Sections of a Spreadsheet
On occasion, a spreadsheet is used for a report. Whole blocks of the spreadsheet are used for reporting, not spreadsheet analysis. On those occasions it is possible to block out whole sections of the spreadsheet.
The blocking goes from line n to line n+m. There can be more than one section of the spreadsheet blocked out if necessary. When the system encounters a section of the spreadsheet to be blocked out, the section is essentially removed from the spreadsheet.
Figure 5.2 shows the blocking of major sections of the spreadsheet.
