Managing policies
Moodle has implemented a policy tool that lets you define multiple policies, supports policy versions, tracks user agreements, and can deal with the consent of minors.
To give you an initial understanding of how Moodle policies are structured, have a look at the following diagram:

A site can have multiple policies; for example, you might have three policies: one handling user data privacy, one dealing with cookies, and one covering third-party plugins and external data.
Each policy can have multiple versions. Every time there is a change in a policy, a new version is created, which might have to be consented to by your users. For each version that is not labeled as a minor change (typos or cosmetic adjustments), Moodle keeps track of user agreements.
