Chapter 5. Developing Specific Reports
When you implement Dynamics NAV 2009 for a customer, the first kinds of reports you will probably have to work on are the document reports. These reports (for example, Invoice, Credit Memo Picking Slip, and so on) are used in communication between your customer and third parties and so they will need to be modified according to the look and feel used at the customer. To understand the amount of work involved and the types of workarounds that might need to be applied in these reports, this chapter will give you a good overview.
Migrating reports from the Classic client towards the Role Tailored client involves a lot of work and in the end your customer might not even see the difference at runtime between the old reports and the ones migrated with an enhanced layout.
