Nano Server Image Builder
The process we just stepped through in order to create our new NANO1 server isn't overly complicated once you get familiar with it, but there are still a lot of IT admins out there who are not using PowerShell regularly. Thankfully for those folks, there is a brand new graphical utility called the Nano Server Image Builder. This tool allows you to select and specify options about the Nano Server you want to create right from a graphical interface, using your keyboard and mouse, and upon completion it spits out a VHD file for you. No PowerShell required! The Nano Server Image Builder is also a really nice way to implement Nano Server onto physical hardware, as you can easily spit out a USB stick installer rather than exporting a VHD file. The installation options for Nano are evolving very quickly, and I recommend you stay on top of the TechNet articles for the latest and greatest methods for implementing Nano.
