A large cloud deployment requires a reliable, scalable, and robust storage solution. The next generation of data centers aims to leverage the power of cloud storage. The storage infrastructure in the data center has been simplified by the means of software-defined storage. With OpenStack, managing storage through the software stack in the data center becomes easier. Additionally, OpenStack provides several storage types that need more understanding in order to make the right choice with regard to which storage solution will suffice for our workload requirements.
