Quick artist blurb
There is another end of the spectrum if you are actually an artist on a record. In this case, you would receive record royalties for every copy sold, including digital downloads. You will also have the opportunity to collect SoundExchange performing royalties. Finally, as an artist, you earn a fee when a record label licenses your master recording. Remember how the master recording is the actual final music production that is transcribed onto a physical medium like a CD? If you are an artist on that record, you are obviously included on the master recording!
