Chapter 14. Framework for Action
Just as a person-specific action plan is prepared when an individual's health needs to be improved, in a similar way, each enterprise must prepare an action plan for enhancing agility. Being a complex adaptive system (CAS), the parts of the organization are not only interdependent but their interactions also lead to dynamic and nonlinear evolution. This leads to each organization being a unique system, and hence the plan and approach to enhancing agility must be created based on the specific context of the organization.
This chapter covers a topic that is worthy of a book by itself. Given the constraints of condensing the material into a single chapter, this chapter should not be treated as a playbook, but as a set of guidelines that can be considered while preparing the enterprise-level plan for enhancing agility.
