Moving ahead with thread repair


There are certain tools that often need thread repair. Something gets worn out, something gets overused, or something just does not fit.

Let's consider that neither someone more introverted nor someone more extroverted has all the right tools at the right time. That would mean as introverts we have strengths that stand firm on their own:

  • Listening

  • Planning

  • Preparation

  • Thinking things through

  • Think before we speak

  • Deepening relationships

Of course, we might find we rely on our strengths to the degree we find them being stripped of their effectiveness.

For example, we referenced a few instances where our solo planning or preparation might leave us open for defeat because we did not fully consider the positions of others in conflict management or negotiations.

Or we might value one-to-one relationships and overlook how to use the keys to building them when we need them in a business meeting or a situation of influence.
