Using floating bars on your website


Floating bars are small strips of information that you can set to float on top of your Squarespace website. There are currently three kinds of floating bars available within Squarespace. They are as follows:

  • Squarespace Badge: This displays a Squarespace logo on your site

  • Announcement Bar: This displays custom text in a slim strip at the top

  • Mobile Information Bar: This displays key contact information in a fat strip at the bottom, only on mobile devices

Unless you are a Squarespace superfan, it's unlikely that you'll want to use the Squarespace Badge—and even if you do, the configuration is self-explanatory. Therefore, we'll focus on the last two types of floating bars in this chapter. Each type of floating bar has its own configuration panel, accessed from the Design menu.
