Conventions used
There are a number of text conventions used throughout this book.
Code in text
: Indicates code words in text, database table names, folder names, filenames, file extensions, pathnames, dummy URLs, user input, and Twitter handles. Here is an example: “The following buildspec.yml
file describes how CodeBuild will run the maven package
command to get the artifacts and include the Java JAR file, Dockerfile, appspec.yml
, and other files in the output.”
A block of code is set as follows:
version: 0.0
os: os-name
files:
source-destination-files-mappings
permissions:
permissions-specifications
hooks:
deployment-lifecycle-event-mappings
Any command-line input or output is written as follows:
terraform destroy -auto-approve
Bold: Indicates a new term, an important word, or words that you see onscreen. For instance, words in menus or dialog boxes appear in bold. Here is an example: “Now, click on the Create Deployment group button.”
