Summary

In this chapter, we learned about version control systems, Git-based repositories, and their basic usage.

We learned about the AWS CodeCommit service and the advantages it provides over other providers. We covered creating a repository, pushing code to it, and creating branches, tags, notifications, triggers, and approval rules.

In the next chapter, we will focus on the AWS CodeGuru service and learn how to perform automated code reviews on a CodeCommit repository.
