Modeling an armchair using manufacturer specifications

So, your client wants to see the exact armchair you specified in SketchUp? Being able to visualize exact furniture in a space will strengthen the trust that clients have in designers to make the right decisions and may lead to more creative freedom to select bold or expensive furniture. This often requires modeling furniture from scratch based on manufacturer specifications.

In the following exercise, we will walk through how to build the RH Thaddeus Track Armchair in Figure 8.16 using the dimensions and images provided by RH’s website.
