Signing up for an AWS account
Signing up for an AWS account is a straightforward process, as detailed here:
- Go to https://aws.amazon.com/ and click the Create an AWS account button at the top right of the page.
Amazon offers a free tier for new users. It is limited to certain services and instance sizes and lasts 12 months. For information on the AWS Free Tier, see https://aws.amazon.com/free/.
- Fill out the initial form that asks for an email address. This will be used for account recovery and some basic administrative functions. Also, provide your chosen AWS account name. Don’t worry if you change your mind; you can change this in your account...
