Turning on Acuity Scheduling

The first step to adding Acuity to your site is finding it. If you haven’t selected a template that uses Acuity Scheduling, you may have to take an additional step to make this option visible on your home screen. Before you do this, however, you can absolutely use a shortcut trick by typing / to bring up a sitewide search. Typing in Scheduling or Acuity and pushing Enter or Return will bring you immediately to the Acuity start screen (I use this trick all the time, rather than navigating through menus). You can see an example of this search bar in Figure 13.1.

If you think scheduling is a feature you’ll use often, you’ll want to navigate to the Settings menu, and then scroll down until you see SHORTCUTS. Toggle on the switch next to Scheduling/Acuity to show this link in your home menu, also shown in the preceding figure.
