As we wrap up this book, the panels discussed in this section are usually reserved for the artists that work with Affinity Photo on a regular basis, and we have chosen in this manual to save them for last, as it is essential to know the fundamentals prior to attempting to improve your workflow efficiency. In this section, we will be covering the finishing touches...the things that make life easier, and we have grouped them under the title of efficiency techniques, as their use is beneficial, but not necessarily required.
The Assets panel
As you mature as an editor, there will be things you create that will be beneficial to have on hand. These can include images (if you are a compositor), certain overlays such as the rain overlay from the export section previously, or even certain design elements such as borders and shapes that you use in your work. In Affinity Photo, these can be saved and categorized under the term Assets.
