Creating a new environment

Let’s get started. If you are the admin of your tenant, you should have access to create a new environment. However, it’s crucial to exercise caution when handling requests to convert sandbox environments directly to production, as this practice can lead to complications and is generally considered an anti-pattern. If you’re not the admin, please reach out to them and request the creation of a development environment. This ensures you have the proper setup to continue building your project smoothly. Follow these steps:

1. Click on the gear icon on the top right corner of the Power Apps maker portal.
2. Click on Admin Center.
3. If this is the first time you are visiting the admin center, you will get a popup welcoming you; feel free to exit out of the popup or click on Get Started to take a tour.
4. Navigate to Environments in the left navigation and click New.
