Using @XREF functions to move data between BSO cubes
In this recipe, we will use the XREF
function in a calculation script to pull data from a source to the target Block Storage database. The value of this XREF
function is obvious when you consider that you can assign calculation execution access to your power users and empower them to pull data from another database on demand. This function also gives you the option of sharing between databases instead of replicating load processes. Moreover, the XREF
function does not require that outlines be identical so you can pull data from outlines with completely different dimension structures and hierarchies.
