Invoking and monitoring a scenario using the SDK


The ODI SDK offers API methods to generate and run scenarios. These capabilities can be used to integrate the execution of ODI processes into an application. In this recipe, we will generate a scenario from an interface, execute it using a local Agent, and monitor its execution.

Getting ready

You can follow the instructions using the Groovy editor in ODI Studio 11.1.1.6 and higher. For this recipe, we will reuse the interface created in the recipe Creating an interface using the SDK. Follow the necessary steps of that recipe to create the interface (you can also create it manually from ODI Studio or use any of your interfaces). No other prerequisites are required.

  1. Follow steps 1 and 2 from the recipe Creating a project using the SDK.

  2. Import the IOdiInterfaceFinder and OdiInterface classes, because executing an interface requires that it be first found and initialized. Add OdiScenarioGeneratorImpl and IOdiScenarioGenerator, which...
