Configuring and managing custom domains
We have planned and assigned our key administrator roles within our organization, now we should determine how we are going to brand our company. When creating a tenant subscription within Microsoft 365 or Azure, the domain that is registered is tenantname.onmicrosoft.com
. This domain becomes a permanent part of the Azure Active Directory tenant and cannot be removed. The domain is public and can be used for sending and receiving emails, and for users to log in to Microsoft services. However, most companies prefer to have a more recognized naming convention for their company domain. To accomplish this, these custom domains must be registered and verified within Azure Active Directory.
Adding and verifying a custom domain to set as the primary domain
