Deploying Office editions
As we discussed in Chapter 3, Core Microsoft 365 Components, Microsoft 365 Apps contains the same applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, and Access) as the traditional Office software package. In that sense, Microsoft 365 Apps and Office 2016 and later editions are very similar. Microsoft 365 Apps is also available in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Microsoft recommends the 64-bit editions for new deployments, but you'll need to verify which edition is right for your organization based on your hardware and third-party plugin compatibility requirements.
