App attach (public preview)
App attach builds upon MSIX app attach, offering improvements in administration and user experiences. At the time of writing, it’s suggested that app attach is an additional feature to the existing MSIX app attach feature. However, this could be subject to change in the future. At the time of writing, app attach is in public preview and MSIX app attach is generally available.
How app attach works
Applications are distributed via RemoteApp or incorporated into a desktop session. Permissions are applied on a per-application, per-user basis, providing enhanced control over user access to remote session applications. Desktop users exclusively view the app-attached applications allocated to them.
You can allocate distinct applications to individual users within the same host pool or on the same session host. At sign-in, all three conditions below must be met for users to access the application via app attach:
