14:00 to 17:00 – start working

Now, when you have planned your near future, decided your initial process, and visualized your current status, it's time to get started doing some actual work. It could be good to start with a daily sync just to make everyone feel they have started and know what they should start doing. This should be obvious with a good Kanban board, but in the beginning it's good to be extra clear, especially if people are used to getting commands on what to do.

While most people start with their ordinary work, some people, for instance the Kanban master if you have one, print the definition of done for each process step, cut them as small as possible, and put each of them with the respective process step on the Kanban board.

Printed "definition of done" for each column

Someone, maybe the same person, collects the avatars and prints them. To make them last longer, we suggest that you laminate them before gluing them with double-sided tape to a magnet.
