The next part of this day is dedicated to creating your board. We suggest that one person briefs the others about the outcome of the sessions described in Chapter 2, Days 3-5 – Getting to Know Yyour System, where you got a better understanding of your system. Inform your team members about the details of your customers and what value you bring to them. Also show the value stream map and the suggestion for the first Kanban board and all the other visualization dimensions.

So far, this may sound very top driven and commanding, and not the broad deciding-things-together strategy that is more associated with Agile methods. Our hope is that most of the people at the meeting have been involved in preparations and that very little is new to them. Anyhow, it's good to summarize and to be clear about the starting point. From now on, everybody will be part of improving the process and introducing the changes needed.
