Threat hunting is about uncovering threats

As we mentioned at the beginning of this chapter, threat hunting typically only involves uncovering threats that might be in the environment, either as a routine activity, initiated from a discovery that's been made by an automated system, or some other form of discovery. The findings from a threat hunting exercise should be passed on to the incident response team.
