Using a handover design tool
To make the process of handover design to developers easier, we need to use handover design tools such as InVision, Zeplin, or Sympli.
In this section, I will explain this process using both Zeplin and Sympli.
We have kept the developers updated for the entire process of UI design, from the sketches, wireframes, and prototypes. Now that they are updated about the structure of UI files, the components, and design system, it is time to hand over the final design to them.
Handover of the design can be done in different ways, such as providing the design on PDF with an explanation, Sketch files, or Photoshop files, but this will be more complicated for developers because they need to learn this tool first. That is why the best suggestion when it comes to providing the files to developers is to use handover design tools.
