The Flip Tool
The Flip tool was introduced in SketchUp Pro 2023 and can be found in the Edit toolbar, Large Tool Set toolbar, and Getting Started toolbar. The Flip tool is distinct from the other Edit tools because it shows a Gizmo overlay when the tool is activated. The Flip tool has replaced the legacy “Flip Along…” workflow in the right-click contextual menu. We will discuss the legacy “Flip Along…” workflow at the end of this section. The Flip tool is represented by a house icon split by a vertical blue plane:

The Flip tool will show an overlay of three Flip Planes, which are colored to the corresponding Axes—Red, Green, and Blue. When one of the Flip Planes is clicked, the model will flip along that Plane. By default, the Planes are aligned to the geometric center of the Geometry, so the Geometry will Flip inside its bounding box. Geometry can be flipped using the Flip tool...
