In this chapter, we have seen how to work with the Kaa IoT middleware. We started off by downloading and setting up the Kaa Sandbox image on our local machine. Then we created a new application and configured the required schema.
Then, we created two log appenders to send data to MongoDB as well as to a REST endpoint, that we built using Node.js.
For the visualizations, we used the demo setup provided by ThingsBoard and we have configured another REST log appender to send data to the ThingsBoard platform. Finally, we built the dashboard using the telemetry data that we received on ThingsBoard.
This chapter wraps up our walkthrough of five IoT platforms at a basic level.
In the next chapter, we are going to work on data analytics using Azure IoT Cloud and Azure Machine Learning Studio.
