In this section, we are going to go over some of the risks and limitations that using the API might have on your personal use cases. Reading this section will give you a better idea as to how you can use the integrations in your space and if you want to use them in your workspace at all.

Risks

The first and most apparent risk when using an API is that you are linking your Notion workspace to another application. This means that depending on the link and permissions you have given the app, the information in your Notion workspace can be edited, changed, and deleted. Therefore, if someone accesses the integration outside the linked app, they will be able to alter the information inside your Notion workspace. This also means that if something is changed in the outside linked app, it will change what is going on inside your Notion workspace.
