An international food manufacturing organization had built a multi-million-dollar, state-of-the-art factory. Their management planned and conducted a three-day After Action Review workshop to capture lessons or conclusions that could benefit other factories in different parts of the world. The management of this newly built factory had outlined their mission as follows:
Objective:
- Capture and share lessons or conclusions of the new plant initiative
- Validate what we have learned, and offer best practice design considerations for manufacturing sites elsewhere
Goal:
Drive value. Produce actionable output (i.e. lessons, conclusions, and recommendations), including what we should do differently
Steps:
- Initiate After Action Review
- Develop AAR Pre-Work Information Gathering
- Establish Works Team by “Theme” category. (Themes were identified for workstream groups: Engineering, Land & Site, R & D, Security, Quality...
