Preface

An organization's desire to optimize its IT infrastructure is the key driver behind the adoption of hybrid cloud and the rapid growth of the cloud computing industry. Hybrid cloud combines the benefits of both public and private clouds, giving organizations the flexibility to choose the right environment for their specific needs.

The main reasons for hybrid cloud adoption include flexibility, scalability, and security. With hybrid cloud, organizations can easily move workloads between public and private clouds, allowing them to scale resources up or down as needed. Additionally, hybrid cloud provides improved security by allowing organizations to keep sensitive data in a private cloud while still taking advantage of the cost savings and scalability of the public cloud.

Analysts have predicted that the hybrid cloud market will continue to grow, with Kubernetes playing a significant role in its success. Reports have stated that Kubernetes will become the de facto standard for managing cloud-native applications and that the hybrid cloud market will benefit greatly from its adoption. The ability to seamlessly manage and orchestrate workloads across multiple cloud environments using Kubernetes is a key driver of the growing adoption of hybrid cloud.

Hybrid Cloud Architectural Patterns provides a comprehensive guide for designing and implementing hybrid cloud solutions. The authors explore the key concepts, best practices, and real-world examples of using hybrid cloud, focusing on using Kubernetes to manage and orchestrate workloads.
