Hyper-V backup methodologies overview
In this section, we will go through various backup techniques. Here, we will not be discussing how to implement these methodologies, but will provide an overview about their existence, and what are the pros and cons of these methodologies around our virtualization ecosystem. Virtualization technology has been there for quite some time now and the majority of the backup methodologies we use these days are based on the traditional file-level and system-management practices. These traditional backup methodologies are still in place for backing up our information systems, including File Servers, Application Servers, Database Servers, and so on.
Copying VHD/VHDX files
